The management of Abia State University have released names of admitted students for the 2020 admission exercise.

How To Check ABSU Admission List

Eligible candidates should use the method given below to check their admission status.

  1. Go to ABSU admission status checker portal at https://portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng/Applicant/Admission/CheckStatus
  2. Fill in the required information
  3. Finally, login to access your admission status

Note: Both Direct Entry and UTME students must buy scratch card (pin) to check their names on ABSU portal. Candidates can buy the pin online or any participating bank.


Students can check their admission status when they login to their JAMB profile.

How To Check Admission Status on JAMB Profile

Eligible students should use this guide;

  1. Go to www.jamb.org.ng
  2. Scroll down and click on “e-facility” tab
  3. Enter your username and password to login to JAMB portal
  4. On a successful login, select “access my caps”
  5. Now click on “check admission status”
  6. Select exam year and enter your JAMB reg number
  7. Finally, click on “check admission status” to access ABSU admission list on JAMB portal

Note: If your name is not in the list, you will see a notification like this; “sorry no admission given yet”.

We advise you login to your JAMB profile often to check your status.

Also, candidates who applied with awaiting results must upload their result on JAMB portal before they will be given admission.

You can now pay your acceptance fee, hostel fee and school fees. Please note that hostel fee is compulsory for all year one students.
