The management of Lagos State University, LASU have released the approved cut off marks for 2020/2021 admission screening exercise.

Candidates who selected the institution as first choice in unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) should check cut off marks here.

LASU Cut Off Mark For JAMB 2020

Every year, the joint admissions and matriculation board (Jamb) set fixed cut off marks for all institutions in Nigeria.

LASU (Lagos State University) is a state owned university and follows Jamb admission procedure.

Candidates seeking for admission must score exactly or above the minimum point set by JAMB.

The approved JAMB Cut Off Mark for LASU is 180.

LASU Departmental Cut Off Marks

The Jamb cut off mark will make you eligible to buy the post utme form. While departmental cut off point will be used during entrance admission screening.

If you want to be offered admission in your department of choice, you need good JAMB score and post utme screening point.

Furthermore, some courses in LASU are very competitive. Courses with higher number of applicants becomes very competitive and will require high Jamb and post jamb Marks.

Some of the competitive courses / departments in LASU includes;

  • Medicine and Surgery
  • Pharmacy, Nursing science, engineering courses, Biochemistry, microbiology, medlab,
  • Law, political science, marketing, accounting / accountancy, mass communication / linguistics, business administration etc

Candidates need to score 200 and above to become fully eligible for these courses.

On the other hand, there are departments in LASU that do not need high marks for admission.

This doesn’t make the course low quality or less competitive.

It is also important to note that a course / department may be very competitive in one institution and less competitive in another institution.
